In mid May, I got some of the new Pocket wizard remote flash triggers that do full Ettl and had been having some issues with them. I had learned some work arounds that actually worked well, so I wanted to do a “practice” shoot with some friends to put them through a real life test. They worked pretty good and only had a couple times that I had to pop the batteries to start from scratch with them. I’m not 100% confident with them yet, so I will probably mix them in my more laid back shoots. Pocket Wizard is a great company, so I’m sure they will release an update soon to resolve the IR noise issues that nearly all Canon shooters are having.
Here are a couple shots we took.

I added a slideshow section to the blog and I will have all the links active by next friday at the very latest. This section will feature a good portion of the weddings, engagement sitting and action sports stuff I have one in the past year or so. So take a look if you have time.
Also a little FYI. . . Some of the slideshows move kinda fast, so if you want to look at each photo on a one by one basis, just click on the little “grid” button on the lower right. That will allow you to see a gallery version so you can browse easily.

In the transition, I somehow messed up and lost all my old blog posts. I will do a bunch of re-posts of the ones I had archived recently, but I am going to focus more on just posting new stuff for the most part. Its kinda sad to lose 2 years of blog posts, but it is going to be one of those “lessons Learned” that we all have. So enjoy the new blog and check back the next couple days as I beef it back up.
